Who Are You?

That is the theme song for the long running drama CSI. There are many ways to "determine" who you are. In our first session for XCSI (XC Success Investigation), we will look at how "what you do, and how you do it" that helps define who you are. So essentially, we are going to look at signatures, or hand-writing analysis.

John Hancock! Most people know who he is. Some that don't know who his is still are well aware that his name is basically synonymous with a person's signature. So John H. did sign the Declaration of Independence, but it was not just an ordinary signature. The best word to describe it is "Flamboyant."

Your signature can say quite a bit about who you are on the inside. When I was about twenty, I had some time on my hands and I decided to revamp my own signature. Up until then, it was the same as I developed when I was about 8 years old, when my parents helped me open my first bank account. Honestly, it still looked like an 8 year old designed it. So what came about was sharp and precise, with a touch of unique creativity...which is a mini-portrait of me and my strengths.

When it comes to athletic performances, many great athletes develop unique skills, maneuvers or styles that get labeled "Signatures." Whether it is Michael Jordan dunking with his tongue hanging out, Usain Bolt and his Lightning Bolt Pose or Mo Farah and his Mo-bot, these special actions are innovations of their own personality and athleticism that has helped set them apart from the rest of the pack.

Sometimes, setting yourself apart from the crowd will help keep you focused on your own identity, and maybe help you preserve your sanity. You can make distance running boring and mundane, and you probably will not partake too long, or you make it exciting and unique to yourself, and it can easily last a lifetime!

When it comes to forensics, handwriting analysis assists in determining what belongs to who. This process studies the style and habits that we practice daily! What we do daily does eventually transform us to the point that we can be identified by such. CHOOSE QUALITY STYLES AND HABITS! Practice the things that you want to define you. Be true to yourself and choose the ways that are truly you and the best you. When you train or race, when you study, when you develop friendships, develop your quality signature that best fits you. Enjoy your style. Practice your personal styles to near perfection, with the level of quality that you deserve, so others can convict you of being successful.
